This site automatically republishes public products from the NOAA National Hurricane Center and the National Weather Service. They are the official sources. Data can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Always follow instructions from your local emergency management and the National Weather Service. In an emergency, call 911.

Posts in Ask & share come from members of the public and are not checked by a meteorologist or emergency official. If AI answers are turned on, they are written by a computer program from the latest NHC advisory and can be wrong.

Privacy

We do not ask for your name, email or location to use the tracker. If you pick a town, it is saved only in your own browser so the page remembers it.

Storm alerts: if you sign up, we keep your email and town only to send you storm alerts for your area. We never sell or share your email. Every alert has an unsubscribe link.

When you post in Ask & share, we store your post and the town you chose, and we show them publicly. To prevent spam we store a scrambled code made from your IP address that changes every day; we cannot use it to identify you. If AI answers are turned on, your post text is sent to Anthropic to write the answer.

We count visits without cookies: the page tells our server which page was viewed and where you came from (for example, Google), and our server records an approximate town from your internet provider and a scrambled visitor code that changes every day. We only publish totals.

If you ask about advertising, we store the business details you send us and use them only to reply to you.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies.

The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, and your browser contacts the National Weather Service directly to check alerts for the town you pick. We may show advertising in the future; this page will be updated before any ad network or tracking cookie is added.

Posting rules

Keep posts about the storm, preparation, safety and recovery. Links, phone numbers, profanity, hate, harassment, spam, ads and sexual content are not allowed. Posts reported by several visitors are hidden automatically, and we may remove any post.
